The following is the Miocar Vehicle Cleaning Protocol during COVID-19 while the Stay at Home Order is in effect in California.
Car Availability
- There will be a partial deployment of up to half of the fleet when Miocar is relaunched. 12 vehicles will be in service for Miocar active members to take essential trips. The following vehicles are expected to be available to the members:
- Chevy Bolt (7)
- BMW i3 (4)
- Chrysler Pacifica van (1)
- The service will only be available to existing members during this time.
- Vehicles will continue to be available 24/7 with 24-hour emergency line open as per usual operations.
Station Availability
- The vehicles will be deployed to the 4 locations with the highest historical utilization rates. These locations are:
- Dinuba- Sierra Village Apartments
- Lamont- Rancho Lindo Apartments
- Orosi- Sand Creek Apartments
- Visalia- Highland Garden Apartments
Car Cleanliness
- The following steps will be taken to promote vehicle cleanliness. Notify all active members via email:
- CDC recommended cleaning supplies will be inside all vehicles for use to clean the vehicles at the start and end of each trip.
- We also recommend that you wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while using a Miocar and encourage you to bring your own cleaning supplies to do a light cleaning of the vehicle when you return it.
- In certain cases we may provide driving credit with members that assist with vehicle cleanings. As needed, we will take vehicles offline to ensure adequate cleaning/sanitation between reservations.
Staff Availability
- 2 Miocar staff members that will be managing the operations, including:
- Deployment of the 12 vehicles to 4 Miocar sites
- Vehicle cleanings
- Member services
Note: These guidelines will be constantly changing to ensure that Miocar is following CDC guidelines on COVID-19.
